Bonnie Harris Wedding Celebrant

In times long ago, people got married in churches and this is where the tradition of the “First Kiss” comes from. The priest would give the groom the “Holy Kiss of Peace” ( not sure if this was a literal kiss) and the groom would then pass it on to the bride. Which is where the phrase – ” you may now kiss the bride’ comes from.

It’s your first kiss as a married couple, in front of an audience as well! so what’s your style? Will it be a long period of locked lips or will it be a brief kiss? Do you draw your partner in close or sweep them off their feet? No matter how you choose to lock lips, it will be your first kiss as a married couple, how fabulous!

Always remember to make a statement with the KISS, oh la la! Guests will cheer wildly, yell, clap and whistle for your first kiss. Some guests may call out rude things sometimes, haha, but you know who those people will be don’t you?

“Any man who can drive safely while kissing a pretty girl is simply not giving  the kiss the attention it deserves.” –

Albert Einstein
